Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has considerable online audience
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known backers as she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, owns multiple international courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive person. He advised me to play, relax, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly with younger fans.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
