Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to share openly about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the film, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without joy".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to block the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the killings, public figures shared divergent responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making divisive remarks that were widely condemned by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an adviser should have intervened when the decision to speak on the passing was made.
