Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, per an announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This event is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered equipment failures.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical problem.
